Penguins are found only in the most remote and inaccessible corners of the globe, yet their appeal is worldwide. Come with us to the Falkland Islands and Antarctica to meet over half a dozen species of penguins, plus a variety of wildlife which shares the penguins's environment. In the Falklands you will meet the colorful king penguins who stand nearly three feet tall, the Magellanic penguins which burrow into sand and dirt to set up residence, and the curious gentoo penguins which form rookeries of many thousands.
Antarctica is considered the last wild frontier on earth. The mixture of tall, windswept mountains, glaciers, and icebergs make it by far the most inhospitible location, yet it is home to many millions of penguins and many other marine creatures. Only the natural sounds of the animals and their environment are heard in this production, accompanied by limited narration. A production of Marine Mammal Fund. VHS format; NTSC format. Retired - limited to stock on hand.
